On Transformation
For more than two decades, I was morbidly obese. It weighed me down, frustrated me, and hurt me. Then I got struck by lightning and discovered that losing weight—and keeping it off—isn’t rocket science. I decided to capture my journey in a book called 10 Letters To The Fat Me. The book will be published in German, English, and Chinese in 2025. I’ll keep you updated via my newsletter and social media when it’s ready.

On Cross-Cultural
My life has been a journey across cultures. My parents and siblings were born and raised in the Soviet Union—what is now Kazakhstan—while I was the only one in our family to grow up in Germany.
Later, I married into a Chinese family, an experience so transformative that it inspired two books on cross-cultural encounters.
“The stories are simply wonderful! Thomas’s vivid narrative style, including his humor, turns the books into an absolute reading highlight.”
